It's been thirty years since I patronized the Gwindy and whilst the exterior looks more or less the same, the interior was completely different.Gone are the old decor and felt chairs, replaced with a sparse weird layout. Leatherette low down lazy boy chairs, short coffee tables and bar wood is now the order of the day. It felt... cold and uninviting. I'm not sure what vibe they were after but it's more London chic than Aberegele pub.The hostess and locals were super friendly and the beer was fair if not a little on the pricey side. Pool table with jukebox there but it just didn't feel... publike. If that makes sense.Give it a go. But do expect something different.
